Beaudesert Under Fives playgroup is believed to have been was started 30 years ago, and has always been based in the village hall. Many changes have taken place, with new families coming through all the time and changes to regulations and the way we help our little ones learn.
In the past 10 years we have gone from being under the care of Social Services to OFSTED, which of course complicates matters considerably and generates reams of paperwork!
The playgroup (where children are left) operates term time, Monday - Thursday from 9.30-12.00 and costs £5.75 per session. The session is run by four 'mature' staff who are fully trained in childcare and First Aid. They all attend regular on-going training to keep us up to date with things. Playgroup is for 2-5year olds.
The Toddler group meets on a Friday 10.00-12.00 and parents/carers stay with their child. This is open for babes in arms to school age children. Sessions cost £2.00 and include refreshments.
